On January 18 to 20, 2023, the 8th Swiss Microbial Ecology Meeting took place in Mendrisio (Ticino).
As a member of the SME 2023 scientific committee, I would like to thank again Nicola STORELLI and Mauro TONOLLA of SUPSI, for organizing such a great and interesting meeting.
Scientific sessions on “Humans and microbes“, “Terrestrial Microbial Ecology” and “Aquatic Microbial Ecology” covered an amazing range of topics. And the talks and posters presented on this occasion highlighted again the great diversity as well as the quality of microbiology research in Switzerland.
Make sure to attend the next SME meeting which will take place in Zürich in 2025 !
